Overkill is Now a Newsletter

Welcome to Overkill by me, Brad Austin. I hope you subscribe to my newsletter and enjoy my writing, which I am told is “vibrant” and “grammatically correct!”

What is Overkill? Why would I want your newsletter, dear sir?

This newsletter is essentially my blog (also called Overkill) in the form of a newsletter. It is named Overkill because my favorite Men At Work song is called “Overkill” and also because I tend to overthink things and enjoy writing down my overthinkings and then publishing them online.

Why are you doing this as a newsletter if it’s a blog already?

I would like to make it easier for people to access my work. When I publish a post, I then go on Instagram and share it by urging you to click a link in my bio, which means you have to click on my avatar and then my bio. It’s too much. This way, it arrives in your inbox and you can take it or leave it!

How often should I expect to receive this?

Every week, unless I am busy working out at the gym.

Why should I open emails from you?

I don’t know that you should. Maybe the title of a particular issue will entice you and you’ll open the email. Maybe you have a sick fascination with me and you’ll open every single email, even the ones that are not about me but about my evil coworker, Jaden. That’s your business. All I know is if you’ve enjoyed my writing in the past then you may want to read about what’s going on with me on a weekly basis.

What if I decide I don’t want the newsletter?

Tough! You subscribed, now you’re stuck with me and my newsletter for life, and beyond life. Issues of my newsletter will be plopping into your inbox long after you are dead. Or you can unsubscribe.

So, I’m a person who enjoys topics. What kinds of topics will be covered in “Overkill”?

In the past I have discussed: me, my wife, my daughter, my mom, my evil coworker Jaden, Melbourne, Australia, music, films, books, politics, standup comedy, cold brew coffee, bugs, and my feelings about all of the above (example: I am scared of bugs!). If this sounds up your alley, please subscribe. Please.

Thank you for reading. I am excited about emailing you and writing in a new font!
